Exciting New Opportunity to Give

I am just back from the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning. Among many highlights of this week of cutting edge programs on estate and tax planning, was an introduction to the Insuring A Better World Fund. The IABWF is a new nonprofit with an exciting mission--saving abandoned life insurance policies for charity.  If you have a life insurance policy that you no longer need or don't intend to maintain, you may be able to donate the policy to the IABWF, choose a charity to be a beneficiary of your gift and take an income tax deduction.  If the policy is suitable, the IABWF will pay the future insurance policy premiums and provide support to the charity you chose.
